Buckbeak
Buckbeak is a Hippogriff — a proud, eagle-headed, horse-bodied magical creature with a fierce sense of honour. Introduced to students during a Care of Magical Creatures lesson at Hogwarts, he famously bowed to Harry Potter and carried him on a flight around the castle grounds.
After being unjustly sentenced to death, Buckbeak was rescued and later served as a loyal companion to those fighting Voldemort. Hippogriffs demand courtesy: one must always bow and wait for the creature to bow back before approaching.
