The Boy Who Lived
On the night of 31 October 1981, Lord Voldemort came to Godric's Hollow and murdered James and Lily Potter. When he turned his wand on their infant son, the Killing Curse rebounded — Lily's sacrifice shielding the child — and Voldemort's body was destroyed.
The boy survived with nothing but a lightning-shaped scar, and the wizarding world, freed overnight from its terror, came to know him as the Boy Who Lived. The same event bound Harry and Voldemort together and set in motion the prophecy that would define them both.
